1. Starting Wednesday, November 16th weekly begins and starts over every Monday at 12 noon until contest ends.
2. No entry fee required.
3. Antlers must be attached to head.
4. Hunter must have valid AL or MS hunting license.
5. All scoring of whitetail deer must be done at an official scoring location. Individuals may enter the contest at and have whitetail deer taken to be scored only at one of the following locations:
Village Jewelry & Sports, 119 E. Alabama St. Butler, AL
Snag'em N Bag'em Outdoors, 6130 Hwy 17, Silas, AL
6. All deer must be taken in accordance with game laws.
7. Only native AL or MS whitetail deer eligible to enter contest from specified counties.
8. Deer must be taken in the following counties: AL, Choctaw, Sumter, Marengo, Clarke, Washington, MS, Lauderdale, Clarke, Wayne.
9. Prizes will be awarded based on typical Boone and Crockett scoring standards.
10. Participating scoring locations must use an official Choctaw Sun-Advocate entry sheet.
11. All scoring is final. No disputes allowed.
12. All winners are to attend or send qualified representative to awards ceremony (TBA).
13. All prizes must be picked up within 30 days of notification.
14. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by a random drawing conducted by The Choctaw Sun-Advocate and/or sponsor(s). The person conducting the contest will determine all winners, and their decision shall be final. The Choctaw Sun-Advocate and sponsors are not responsible for any human error which may occur in the drawing process.
15. In the event a prize should become unavailable we have the right to substitute the prize with another similar and equal in value.
16. Rules committee decisions are final on all matters of the Big Buck Contest.
17. Winners are responsible for all taxes.
18. Violations of any of these rules or attempts to win any contest by fraud, deception, or cheating shall be grounds for The Choctaw Sun-Advocate/sponsors to disqualify the individual from participating in all current and future contests and events at the sole discretion of the Sun-Advocate/sponsors, as well as forfeiture of any prize of prizes won by fraudulent means.
19. Promoters of this contest reserve the right to change or modify rules at any time by posting changes in The Choctaw Sun-Advocate.
20. By entering this contest, you give The Choctaw Sun-Advocate, or any other media or promoters the right to use your name, picture, etc. as part of the promotion of the Big Buck Contest.
21. In all instances, decisions of The Choctaw Sun-Advocate/sponsors are final.
